Laiza Costelo is a Manila-based multidisciplinary designer who works through visual storytelling and contemporary, story-driven illustration. She has many things you can ask for. Indeed, she is a jack of all trades whose styles combined by clean, flat forms, bold color palettes, playful textures, and expressive characters, her work uses visual metaphors that make complex ideas more accessible.
Her versatility is exemplified by her collaborations with artists and organizations, including December Avenue, Itchyworms, Reese Lansangan, Zark’s Burger, National Commission for Cultural and the Arts, and Department of Health.
At present, she serves as a Science Research Specialist II at Department of Science and Technology – Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI), developing campaign and translating ideas and narratives into clear, engaging visuals.
She believes that we always create with purpose.
